The Texas Rangers signed Atlantic League pitcher Ryan Feierabend to a minor league deal Tuesday, leaving the York Revolution down one of its top lefty starters.

As Paul Braverman, Revs promotions and communications manager, writes, the York Revolution single-season ERA record holder is on the move again:

While the Revs are still roughly a week or two away from announcing any official player signings for the 2013 campaign, we can share that it was anticipated lefty Ryan Feierabend would return to the York rotation for at least the start of the season.  That is no longer the case, as Feierabend will head to spring training with the Texas Rangers.

Last season, Feierabend began the season with the Revolution before having his contract purchased by the Cincinnati Reds and assigned to Triple-A Louisville on June 5.  He returned to York on July 26 after making seven starts for Louisville.  All told with the Revs, Feierabend made 18 starts, going 9-5 with a 2.70 ERA in 113 innings to set a new Revolution single-season ERA mark for a starter in the hitter-friendly Atlantic League.

Feierabend, drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 3rd round of the 2003 amateur draft, saw major league action with the Seattle Mariners from 2006-08, compiling a 7.22 ERA with a 106 IPs.

He missed entire 2009 season due to Tommy John surgery. From 2010 to 2011, he jumped around the Mariners and Phillies farm clubs.
